“Bad actors know well our legal loopholes which act as a magnet for illegal immigration,” said Secretary Nielsen. “As DHS continues to carry out President Trump’s immigration priorities to keep America safe, Congress must urgently act to close dangerous loopholes that attract criminal aliens and also inhibit our ability to remove them.”
Doing so is saving people from gangs, drugs and other crimes that are committed by illegal aliens.
Unlike the crime that is already in our country, this is a chance to have some sort of control over possible future crime. That is not a racist statement, it's true. CRIMINALS come here ILLEGALLY, because HONEST people DON'T usually knowingly break the law, they go through LEGAL immigration and ports of entry to claim asylum.
It's 90% of the foreign born population in federal prison are in the country illegally. That should tell you all you need to know. It's not legal immigrants that are the problem. They are following the laws. It's the people who are trying to circumvent our laws and come here unchecked.
Of course there are exceptions. There is always exceptions.
No one is trying to demonize one class of people.
It's not about that.
Immigrants are wonderful.
We need them.
But we need them to come here and abide by the laws that everyone else has to abide by.
It is really besides the point as to how many illegal aliens commit crimes, because they are breaking our laws just by being here, period. No other country will tolerate anyone choosing which laws they want to follow and which they think are too mean or inhuman to follow, so why does the USA have to?
People are completely missing the point. We have a chance to somewhat control this aspect of our crime rate, unlike the crime that is natively born here.
So why wouldn’t we want to do so? It's only logical!
President Trump declared a National Emergency regarding border security. The Left and corporate media lost their minds over it.
The Left and corporate media said nothing, and even cheered when former President Obama declared 13 National Emergencies during his presidency. Eleven of which are still active.
Has President Trump manufactured this emergency? Well the last few presidents didn't think so. They did little to fix it, but they had no problem calling out the issue.
Well how much illegal alien crime do we have in America? Is it really an emergency?
(Illegal alien is the correct legal term for a person that is in a country unlawfully. They are not called immigrants. That talking point was created in order to call people that are pro-law enforcement and pro-legal immigration, bad names and anti-immigration. Which is just not true.)
The first thing we need to make note of and that is always over looked when talking about illegal alien crime statistics versus American citizen crime statistics is that there are over 300 million citizens and only 12.5 million illegal aliens. Numbers are irrelevant, it's percentages that tell the real story.
In the opinion of this civilian reporter, I think there is actually a lot more people in the United Stats illegally, than what is admitted. But there is really no way of knowing the real amount.
Based of from 2012 to 2016 data, there were a whopping 39 million instances where names and SSNs on W-2 tax forms did not match the legitimate Social Security records.
The favorite talking point from left wing illegal immigration advocates is that there are more natural born citizens in federal prison than there are illegal aliens.
I would hope that were the case, because there are approximately 25 times more citizens than illegal aliens.
How can we really do an accurate study as to how many illegal aliens are committing crimes if they are undocumented? Most states aren't even keeping track.
Our country can’t handle uncontrolled immigration, our economy and environment would suffer and then our legal citizens and legal immigrants that did everything the right way would suffer.
But enough of my opinions...
Also please don't send me hate mail for using the legal term for a foreign born person that is in the US illegally. I don't play the politically correct games.
(Based on stats from 2016 from Bureau of Justice Statistics)
Total US Citizens / Total US Citizens in Federal Prison
300 million / 122,000 = .0004 = .04%
Total Illegal aliens / Total Illegal Aliens in Federal Prison
12.5 million / 58,000 = .0046 = .46%
Total General Population of America / Total in Federal Prison
330 million / 180,421 = .0005 = .05%
Total Inmates in Federal Prison / Total Illegal Aliens in Federal Prison
180,421 / 58,000 = .32 = 32%
Of the 180,421 people in federal prison, about 1/3 of them are illegal aliens.
180,421 Total Federal Inmates
151,429 federal inmates in BOP Custody
18,431 federal inmates in privately managed facilities
10,561 federal inmates in other types of facilities

Most states don't report illegal alien data stats for state and local corrections facilities and jails/prisons. There is really no way to calculate these numbers. We have no idea, because they don't want us to keep track.
In my experience when "they" don't want you to keep track, it's because something is being hidden.
You don't usually hide things that are good.
SCAAP Data Suggest Illegal Aliens Commit Crime at a Much Higher Rate Than Citizens and Lawful Immigrants - Feb 3, 2019 - PDF OF REPORT
Research conducted by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) strongly suggests all claims that illegal aliens commit crimes at a lower rate than native-born U.S. citizens, or lawfully-present immigrants, are a myth. In fact, this report finds that in the states examined, illegal aliens are incarcerated up to five and a half times as frequently as citizens and legal immigrants.
Illegal-immigrant crime calculations conveniently and invariably steal a base by leaving out the millions of crimes committed by illegal immigrants related to procuring fraudulent social security numbers, obtaining false drivers’ licenses, using fraudulent green cards, and improperly accessing public benefits.
Most federal, state and local government agencies do not collect data on the rates at which illegal aliens are convicted of crimes. Most likely, this is due to political correctness, and a desire to keep the truth about the number of crimes committed by illegal aliens from coming to light.
The simple fact that illegal aliens violated American immigration laws – and must continuously violate other federal, state and local laws in order to mask their ongoing illegal presence in this country – demonstrates a blatant lack of respect for the rule of law.
A total of 57,820 known or suspected aliens were in in DOJ custody at the end of FY 2018 Q1. Of this total, 42,284 people had been confirmed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to be aliens (i.e., non-citizens and non-nationals).
Among the 42,284 confirmed aliens, 39,413 people (93 percent) were unlawfully present. These numbers include a 62 percent unlawful rate among 38,132 known or suspected aliens in BOP custody and a 78 percent unlawful rate among 19,688 confirmed aliens in USMS custody.
Approximately 16,233 aliens in USMS custody required housing in state, local, and private facilities, which cost $1,458,372.72 a day.
The federal Bureau of Prisons category “criminal aliens” includes legal immigrants who have been convicted of serious crimes, but over 90% of incarcerated criminal aliens are illegal aliens, so it is reasonable to use these numbers as a close approximation of the extent of illegal alien crime.
The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that between 2008 and 2014, 35% of the all murder convictions were illegal aliens.
There is widespread public ignorance of illegal alien crime in every state because the mainstream media does not investigate such matters. Why? Because they do not want the public to think about such things. The media, from the Associated Press down to the Main Street News, does not even allow the phrase “illegal immigrant” to appear in print.
So, the numbers are out there in the criminal justice system and correctional institutions, waiting to be compiled and published. State attorneys general and state legislators could access the data if they were interested, and so could the media, but they don’t.
The US Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Programs publishes an annual report on the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program, a report that includes data on the number of criminal aliens incarcerated each state prison system and each county jail. It takes some prodigious digging to find the data, but it is there.
But our mainstream media, our self-described guardians of the First Amendment, consciously avoids the effort and declines to put a public spotlight on the problem or demand public scrutiny and public accountability. Why?
The answer is that public debate on the problem of illegal alien crime does not serve the progressive political agenda. The issue is swept under the rug and anyone who raises it is called a racist.
As Reported By OpsLens:
In 1980, the federal and state prisons housed fewer than 9,000 illegal criminal aliens.
Today, about 55,000 (now 58,000) criminal aliens account for more than one-fourth, (now almost 1/3) of prisoners in Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities.
Read the Report from March 2011
The numbers have gone up 3,000 in 8 years.
Let’s look at a few numbers. You haven’t seen them in the New York Times, Atlanta Constitution, or the Miami Herald, nor have they been featured on NBC Nightly news or CNN. So, the average American is blissfully unaware of them.
- Between 2008 and 2014, 40% of all murder convictions in Florida were criminal aliens. In New York it was 34% and Arizona 17.8%.
- During those years, criminal aliens accounted for 38% of all murder convictions in the five states of California, Texas, Arizona, Florida and New York, while illegal aliens constitute only 5.6% of the total population in those states.
- That 38% represents 7,085 murders out of the total of 18,643.
Those astounding numbers were compiled by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) using official Department of Justice data on criminal aliens in the nation’s correctional system. The numbers were the basis for a presentation at a recent New Hampshire conference sponsored by the highly respected Center for Security Policy. You can view the full presentation here:

The Rise of Fentanyl: Drug Addiction On The I-95 – Two Years On
Drug overdose is now the main cause of death for Americans under the age of 50, they are more likely to die from a drug overdose than a car accident or gun. More than 70,000 people died from overdoses last year as opioids and illegal fentanyl – which is up to 50 times stronger than heroin – unleashed the worst public health crisis in American history. Two years ago, BBC News reported on the growing problem of opioid addiction in the US, now we return to find out what happened to the people we met along our journey down the notorious I-95, the interstate that runs from Florida to Maine, and to see what has become of their struggle against addiction.
