The week prior this community had suffered as tragic event where two Brookhaven police officers were shot and killed in the line of duty.
The band director of the visiting school whom performed the insensitive, vile half time show has been suspended.

It shows the moment when students held up fake guns toward others on the field. #wlbt pic.twitter.com/jip9O5w3tw
This is unacceptable in a civilized society. Someone should be held accountable. https://t.co/hq3hJnj4xA

Last week, two Brookhaven police officers were shot and killed in the line of duty. Last night, Forest Hill’s band performed a halftime show at Brookhaven High School depicting police officers being held at gunpoint. Absolutely disgusting. https://t.co/XIlQulefRH

Mississippi high school band is criticized for halftime show that "depicted students dressed as doctors and nurses holding SWAT team members at gunpoint" in a game vs. a school from a town where 2 cops were killed last week. https://t.co/VP9nsOBQe6

So apparently Forest Hill’s high school band did a halftime skit at Brookhaven, where fake guns were used to shoot police officers. In all places, a town where two officers were recently killed.
